PRE-INSTALLATION CHECKLIST FOR A RESIDENTIAL ELEVATOR
Valor Lift Elevators Installation Team will go over with you specific information before an elevator is ordered, shipped and work is started. Is the Elevator going in an Open Space or in a Closet?

Installation Technical Overview:
- Determine the location for the elevator shaft, considering structural integrity, access points, and floor layout.
- Check local building codes and obtain necessary permits.
- Measure the required hoistway dimensions, including pit depth and overhead clearance.
- Reinforce the floor and wall openings as needed to create a stable hoistway.
- Rough-in the elevator shaft by framing the walls and ceiling with proper materials.
- Ensure the hoistway is plumb and square.
- Install necessary bracing and support structures.
- Prepare the pit floor with a smooth, concrete level surface.
- Carefully position and secure the elevator rails within the hoistway, ensuring proper alignment.
- Use leveling shims to achieve accurate rail placement.
- Assemble the elevator car frame and attach the necessary components like the door mechanism, control panel, and safety devices.
- Install the elevator doors and landing doors, ensuring proper alignment and clearance.
- Connect the door interlock system to ensure safety.
- Place the hydraulic power unit in the designated machine room and connect it to the elevator car.
- Connect the system wiring to the elevator car, doors, and power source according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Perform a thorough test run of the elevator, checking for proper operation, leveling, and safety features.
- Adjust system settings as needed.
- Install interior finishes within the elevator car like flooring, wall panels, and lighting.
- Finish the hoistway openings with decorative trim or wall coverings.
